Christmas! Yep, it’s Friday, December 18th, and that makes Christmas Day just one week out! I am seriously struggling with how quickly this year has gone by. Perhaps the whole Covid thing got us into a dull routine that just ate up the days/weeks/months? I don’t know how it happened, but Christmas it almost here and we’ll just have to deal. 🙂 It truly IS my favorite time of the year!

Not a whole lot going on this week. We’ve done a bit of shopping to see what else we can cram into the house as well as some meal planning, but it’s been fairly low key. That’s actually pretty nice considering everyone is home! Usually there’s an on-going argument (Or two) that seems to carry throughout the house…. I’ll stop there before I jinx myself!

I AM in the midst of some crazy paperwork for the Social Security Administration. The people at the SSA have all been great to work with, but the paperwork… my goodness the paperwork… can be just a bit painful! And Heaven forbid you complete something improperly. 🙂

“What this about Social Security?” you ask? Well, as I’ve mentioned in prior posts, I am considered “Disabled” as I was no longer able to complete my last job at the level required to perform satisfactorily. I was encouraged by my leadership team to go on company funded leave of absence (Which I did), but over time and to save money, corporations also want you to apply for disability through the Social Security Administration (SSA). If you get approved for a benefit via SSA, the corporation can then reduce the benefit they provide. Make sense? It finally does to me after months and months of confusion and phone calls. As always, good times!

The paperwork will get completed as needed so I’ll stop complaining before I really let loose! 🙂

I hope everyone who reads this (If any) is looking forward to Christmas and will have the ability to spend time with those they are closest to! I’ll try for another post before the BIG DAY, but we’ll just have to see how things are going!
