Merry Christmas everyone… about 5 days too late! 🙂 Hope y’all had a great Christmas and were able to enjoy time with family and friends! Our kids are all home and my in-laws came to visit, so we had time with a good portion of family. We were SUPPOSED to visit my family in Ohio, but something came up AGAIN… so my parents asked that we wait another couple of week. With COVID and varying family issues around all the time, I haven’t been able to see my parents in over two years. That stinks! The plan is to see them sometime in January, keep your fingers crossed that it happens!

So… how’s life treating you? More than good I hope! Things are OK on my end… at least from a health perspective. I have been off my exercise routine the past few weeks and, I believe, it’s been modestly impactful to my quality of life. When I say “impactful”, I mean that I’ve been experiencing the dizzies quite a bit and my energy level has been awfully low. I am going to start back to daily walks/jogs next Monday, so it will be interesting to see if the dizzies/fatigue subside as a result. I sure hope so… I was feeling so good through the end of November, it’s been hard to adjust to “sitting on the chair” all the time. It frustrates the living fool out of my wife as well! She doesn’t like sitting around very much, which doesn’t work well with how I’ve been feeling lately. 🙁 Oh well… it is what it is!

On another note, we did take a quick trip to the North Carolina Coast this Tuesday/Wednesday. The temperatures were in the high 70’s, which was amazing considering we’re in late December! It was great to have a few days without kids! We certainly don’t have enough time like that …. which I am sure is pretty common for the “Married with kids” crowd. 🙂 Good times!

New Year’s Eve is tomorrow! We usually host a big party, but this year… we’re just tired. 🙂 So, may have a few friends over for drinks, but we’re going to fix a nice dinner at home and then do some low-key stuff until midnight comes around. 🙂 I’d imagine it’ll be an early bedtime this year, but who knows! Life has that uncanny habit of a curve ball here there! So, we’ll just see how it goes. We’ll probably end up with 50 people over…. lol I’ll keep you updated.

With respect to the New Year, I am not a big “New Year Resolution” kind of a person, but I do have a few things I’m looking forward to! In short order… they are:

  • 3 – 4 short road races
  • One date a week with my lady
  • 5-6 fishing trips
  • Be kind, Be Patient, Get my yardwork done, Clean the pool everyday, Feed the squirrels, Don’t burn the leaves in the backyard so much, etc… etc…etc.. 🙂

The last bullet point… it’s why I don’t like Resolution Lists… everything seems to end up on them! I hope that doesn’t happen to you!

Anyway… I’ll end things there! I hope you and your family have an AMAZING NEW YEAR and have lots of exciting things to look forward to in 2022! I can’t believe it… 2022! I’ll be 52 this year… which is just crazy! Knocking on 60.. watch out!

Take care y’all! Until next time….

Steve

Greetings! Yes, I realize there is a bit of BIO space associated with completing a Blog via this site. It's rather limited, though, with respect to what you can share (Drop down only responses, Limited response fields, etc.), so I thought I would add a Biography Page. So here goes... in Bullet Point Format. It's short but likely to expand over time... still meandering a bit with look and feel stuff! Name: Steve (Or Stephen) Marital Status: Yes, Married to my wife Stacey for 25 years (Maybe she'll be a contributor) Children: Yes, Three boys (Ages 21, 19 and 17) and one girl (Age 7) Hobbies: Reading, Anything Outdoors (Fishing, Hiking, Etc) and Cooking
