Happy Wednesday Y’all! Hope you’re doing well! Today is Wednesday, June 28th and it’s going to be a hot and muggy one in Atlanta today! Good times!

I know you missed my post last week (Hopefully….sigh), but we were on our summer vacation down on the Panhandle of Florida. Panama City Beach to specific. It was a tough week to be at the beach! While the weather was mostly nice, the ocean was all kinds of nasty. Daily “Double Red Flags” meant that we could spend almost no time at all in the water. Unfortunately, some folks did not heed the warning about the oceans rip tides and 11 people died of drowning. I have never, in 30 years of going to the beach, experienced something like that. Really, really sad to think that folks were on vacation and ended up not making it home. 🙁

Still, as a family we had a pretty good time. Lots of nice restaurants to eat at it and we did some cooking at the rental. It was definitely on the warmer side of things, but not blazing hot. So, my MS stayed in the backseat the entire trip. Total bonus!

We arrived home on Saturday and after a day of unloading and taking it easy, we went out to dinner with my in-laws. Huge rainstorm popped up and I managed to slip in the parking lot and bang myself up. Yuck. Knee hurts, ankle hurts, back is sore and.. in general… I feel like someone who has taken a fall. 🙂 I guess at 53 it just takes a bit longer to get over things. The real bummer is I haven’t been able to exercise properly and the Peachtree Road Race is a mere 6 days away. I’m getting nervous this is going to be much more of a walking event than I had planned. Still, I’ll do my best and get out there. Guess we’ll see how it goes.

Short post this week as it has been rather uneventful with me being lazy and laying around more than usual. Wish me luck with the race! It’s sure to be the topic of my next post! Maybe even a photo or two to throw in the mix!

PS Not being in the ocean gives a person the free time to make Sand People! 🙂
