Hi people! Happy Tuesday! It won’t be tacos at my house tonight, but if I had the fixins’ for them… they’d be on the menu! Today is October 19th today and while the mornings have been pretty chilly here in North Carolina, the afternoons have been beautiful! I’ll say it again… I LOVE this time of year!

It’s been quite a while since I last posted and I do apologize for that! To be honest, I am a bit “dry” from a things to write about perspective! Also, as I mentioned in a prior post, I am up and running on twitter now ( #1guywithms ) and it’s been easy to overlook my blog in lieu of a tweet. I am still very new to the whole twitter thing, so once that newness wears away… I’ll definitely be diligent about blogging. 🙂 Bear with me.. it’s all I can say! This ADHD/MS messed up brain flits from thing to thing worse than a hummingbird in a flower garden. I hope you smile reading that one… 🙂 I know I did writing it. 🙂

The title of my post says it all. I am still very focused on exercising as I’d like to participate/jog in a short race somewhere near Charlotte. I’ve found I do a much better job staying focused and dedicated if I am aiming at some sort of target. Otherwise, the reasons for not being active start to pile up and I’ll find my butt sitting in a chair for endless hours! So, at least four days a week I am hitting the neighborhood streets or a local trail to get my 3-5 miles in. I need to be able to jog at least two miles before signing up for a 3 mile race… that way I won’t embarrass myself too much! I am not really worried about how long it would take me to finish a short race like that, I just want to be sure that I DO FINISH! I’d hate to get out there and end up sitting down halfway through.. that would be bad! Definitely need to pay attention to my body and how things are going! Wish me luck! I’d like to get that done sometime before the end of December. Guess we’ll see!

Otherwise, everything has been fairly good! I had an appointment with my Neurologist this week and found out he isn’t leaving Charlotte, just switching practices! I am so relieved as he’s a great doc and someone I really feel that I can trust. When I received notification that he was leaving his current practice, I had assumed he’d signed some non-compete agreement to not practice in the Charlotte area, but that turned out to be wrong. Thank goodness! 🙂

My neuro is pleased with my level of activity and just cautioned me about the usual… don’t get too hot, take it easy, get your rest… etc.. etc. He was definitely interested to know I’ve been able to get in a few miles each day, so we’ll see if I can continue to surprise him in that area. Would be super cool!

That’s it for today! Heading to the Western North Carolina Mountains this weekend to go fly-fishing with some buddies. We waited, of course, until the morning temperatures are going to be in the 40’s… so it’s going to be awfully cold to be standing in the middle of a stream! As long as the fish are biting, that will be sure to warm things up!

Take care and talk to you soon!

Greetings! Yes, I realize there is a bit of BIO space associated with completing a Blog via this site. It's rather limited, though, with respect to what you can share (Drop down only responses, Limited response fields, etc.), so I thought I would add a Biography Page. So here goes... in Bullet Point Format. It's short but likely to expand over time... still meandering a bit with look and feel stuff! Name: Steve (Or Stephen) Marital Status: Yes, Married to my wife Stacey for 25 years (Maybe she'll be a contributor) Children: Yes, Three boys (Ages 21, 19 and 17) and one girl (Age 7) Hobbies: Reading, Anything Outdoors (Fishing, Hiking, Etc) and Cooking
