Hello All! Today is Tuesday, March 24, 2020 and… as Im sure you are aware, the Corona Virus is about all we think about these days… well.. aside from food, sleeping, personal comfort and..whatever else fills your mind in between Virus updates! I hope everyone reading this is doing really well!

As I alluded to in previous posts, the virus has caused as much uproar at my house as at yours (Speaking of “Normal” households with two kids in college, a high schooler and an elementary doll… don’t know if the word “normal” really applies, but it just flows… right?). 🙂 The virus has closed both Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte as well as NC State in good old Raleigh, so my college boys are here. Additionally, our local county schools have been closed for just over a week with no plans to open until May 15th, so my two younger kids are trying to stay busy at home as well. I now understand why homeschooling would have never really been an option for us! Good. Grief.

Initially, my wife and I, while not overly skeptical of Corona, thought things were a bit overblown (Anyone else?). However, still being cautious, we have done our best to quarantine ourselves, and all these kids, into the house as much as possible. There have been too many references to “Those with compromised immune systems” (This would apply to me) being at higher risk for serious complications for us to live normally. I can only assume most of us had made similar changes to our routines. We have done no grocery shopping or eating out and, other than picking up things from the local school, have been confined to our home and neighborhood. This has been especially fun with college kids who, while reasonably intelligent, want to live the same way they do at college. We’ve gotten through this… but… GOOD GRIEF! Ive used that phrase several times today… I know! Just think how often Ive said it out loud at home!

So, that’s pretty much where I’m at right now. I had hoped to be steering things in more interesting directions, but this is WAY TOO front and center right now! So, bear with me and we’ll get on to other topics that you may, or may not, find a bit interesting!

Be safe and wash your hands! I’ll attempt another post this week if homework and watching kids allows! Say it with me people.. GOOD! GRIEF!

Hang in there!
