Howdy! Today is Monday, May 11th, and we enter month 2+ of Corona Quarantine! I hope everyone is remaining patient and observing smart personal habits to stay healthy!

So, this will be a short post because.. we (My family and I), just got back from a weekend trip to the… wait for it… BEACH! Yep. We braved the mostly empty highways and barren restaurants/malls/parks of Charlotte, North Carolina for the beaches of Amelia Island!

What a nice change of pace. Restaurants, shopping and the beaches (Let’s not forget about the beaches) are all open! Of course, there are smart limitations for restaurants and shopping, but it sure was nice to sit down and order a meal out! We love the beach and seafood so it was a great get-a-way! Also, from an MS perspective, the beach offered plenty of sunshine so I am sure I got my Vitamin D “fix” for the week!

Coming back to Charlotte and a State that is still mostly shutdown is a bit of a downer, but we’re going with the flow and realize that these are crazy times! North Carolina is set to start reopening in a serious way in another two weeks, so we’re hoping new cases of Corona stay low so that we can try to get back to Life As Normal!

Speaking of Life As Normal…. One thing that keeps coming up in my various MS feeds is the trouble folks are having getting their medications! Especially Ocrevus… which requires a hospital visit! The community of MS Specialists seem to be a bit divided as some folks are getting their infusions no problem, while others are being told to wait until the “crisis” is over. For those folks who are really in need of their scheduled infusion… this can be a pretty tough time… for sure!

Oh well, enough crybaby for now.. more to follow later in the week! Not more crybaby.. at least I hope!

Be good! 🙂
