Greetings! It’s Friday, August 6th, and it’s a bit of a rainy day in Charlotte, NC. We need the rain, so keep it coming! Also… you see the date right? Today is the 6th, which means one week from now it will be a dreadful “Friday the 13th”! I’m not sure the kids of today relate to that day the way folks of my generation did… man… those movies were freaky-deaky! For real!

As the post title suggests, this has been a rather BLAH kind of week. The weather has been cooler than usual, so my wife and I have been doing morning walk/jogs of 2-3 miles, so at least we’re keeping active. Honestly though, I mostly feel like just sitting in a chair and watching a show or doing nothing. Been one of those weeks for sure. Oh well.

My next Ocrevus infusion is, as I mentioned in a prior post, schedule for August 17th. I’m looking forward to the boost and return to “Normal” feeling post infusion. The only big drawback is the steroid they give as part of the infusion. The steroid is called Solumedrol and boy oh boy does it make me cranky. No sure why steroids have the impact they do, but for 7-10 days post infusion… I can have quite a temper. It’s very out of character for me, but it annoys the living fool out of my wife… as she is the person I’m usually fussing to (or about)… I totally get it. I do recognize I am being a bit unreasonable, so usually these Tantrums (Can’t think of a better way to describe it) are short-lived. 🙂 Thank goodness. I have made a deal with myself to be more aware of when my temper is rising, so I hope to get in front of things this time around. I’m super hopeful I’ll be able to forego the steroids at some point, but the doctor is too nervous about the potential for some weird adverse reaction during the infusion. Oh well.

Okey-Dokey… think this one will be short and sweet! Hope everyone has a nice weekend! We’ve got a few parties on the schedule, so going to put a smile on and attempt to keep the Y-A-W-N-S to a minimum! Don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings!

Until next time….

Steve
